The Scent of Rain
I started writing "Phantom of the Opera" fanfiction when I was in 
high school.  I went to a midnight showing of the Lon Chaney film and 
ever since then, I have been smitten by the depth of Eric's love for 
Christine, even though she never could see past his disfigured face. 
It was the kind of unrequited romance story that appeals to me.  This 
particular fic isn't exactly romantic, it's more fantasy than 
anything else.  It was written in the early 90's and is the only POTO 
fic I have ever posted.
